As In cricket said “Back to pavilion”, likewise here I am back with another exciting place to visit. You must me curious to know about the place, so it is another beautiful hill station in Dehradun district of Uttrakhand, i.e, “Mussoorie”.
Mussoorie with its green Hills is a fascinating place and a wonderful honeymoon spot. It commands a wonderful view of Himalayas snow ranges, and a glittering view of Doon valley, Roorkee, Saharanpur, and Haridwar, the town presents a fairyland atmosphere to the tourist. It is a popular retreat from the heat of plain.
The month of April, may, and June witness the peak season owing to the pleasant climate, while those looking for the snowfall should visit their during winters, there is usually a bright christmas and the breathetaking view of snowclad Mussorrie gives it the name- the Queen among the Hill station.This place usually face the heavy rainfall during Monsoon season i.e, the month of August and September.
HOW TO REACH :
Mussoorie is well connected through roads, air and buses from Delhi and the major cities.
BY ROAD :
Being a popular tourist destination, Mussoorie is well linked with the network of bus services, either it is a state transport buses or a private tour operator. If you are travelling from Delhi than all you need to take NH-58 till Roorkee via Meerut and Muzzafarnagar and NH-72A till Dehradun, and after that you can get the bus or taxi towards mussoorie. Buses and taxes are easily available from the major cities of Uttakhand lke Haridwar, Rishikesh, Tehri, Dehradun.
BY AIR:
The nearest airport to the hill station of Uttrakhand is Jolly Grand Airport, hence Mussoorie is also reached by this, all you need to do is take a taxi from the airport and you will reach the queen of hills.
BY RAILWAY:
The nearest railway station to Mussoorie is Dehradun railway station, which is around 36km from your destiantion. Dehradun is well connected through trains with major cities of India, there is about two trains which daily runs between the major cities and Dehradun. Buses and taxes are easily available from Dehradun to Mussoorie.

You must explore Kempty fall(14.5 kms), Gun hill(1.7 kms), The Mall road(0.1 kms), Mussoorie lake(6 kms), Lal Tibba(5.5 kms), Jwala ji temple(5.9 kms), Sir George Everest house(5.9 kms), Company garden(3.6 kms) and many more. SO you Must go and experience all the things.
BEST SEASON TO VISIT:
The month between April -June and September-october are the most pleasant time to visit there while those looking for snowfall should visit in winter. Mussorrie faces heavy rainfall during rainy season, you may have difficulty reach there.
