But don’t worry you will get the of your every question. “GUSHAINI”, it is the beautiful village in Tirthan Valley(Himachal Pradesh) on the bank of the river TIRTHAN, and beleive me when I reached the place, the first thing that click in my mind is about a quote which was said by a person, “Not all those who wonder are lost”, I just never used to understand this but when I saw the beauty of the place I fully understand the meaning.

GEOGRAPHICAL LOCATION

On the standard tourist maps, Tirthan valley stretches from Banjar to Bathad. Gushaini is situated 8km , before the entrance of Great Himalayan National Park(GHNP).
If you are coming from Mandi/Manali/Aut-Largi side, you need to take a u- turn towards Gushaini, Tirthan valley, Great Himalayan National Park. Once you take that road you need to cover around 8-9 km passing Sai Ropa, Nagini, then a bridge will come and you have to take left on that ,after that you saw a sign board at the right saying Gushaini 1km ahead. just before that board a path goes down hill where the parking is present for Raju’s cottage.

Let us know about their price range .It is nearly about 1600-1800 per person per day ,depending upon the choice of meal you make i.e, vegetarian or non- vegetarian .  This price include all the meals + juices + fruits + tea/coffee + snacks etc. The best part is they serve it in a common dinning room . And believe me the food is so tasty.

ACTIVITIES AND ATTRACTION IN-AROUND RAJU’S COTTAGE

The hill station is the paradise for adventure seekers, as it offers wide variety of  activities ranging from Mountain Biking, Bike ride to waterfall, half day biking to Bathad along Palanchan river, full day biking and hiking to chehni tower and Jibhi “One thing to remenber is that you have to pay some charges for this”, Angling, Trekking. Its not the end here, there is lot more things to do as hike to waterfall,  a hike to Bandal village. How can I forget about the Great himalayan National Park, It is a vast expanse of forest which is good place for hiking and rock climbing so you can have a walk towards the entrance gate of it. As we hear a line lot more time that God is everywhere, so Gushaini is not behind in this, you will going to found a temple there namely Shringa and Dev kanda temple. I must suggest you to explore Jalori Pass, Saryolsar Lake, Raghupur Garh.

BEST SEASON TO GO

• In summer  (April- October): Everyone want to visit these kind of places mostly in summer, as to get rid of the hotness of the plains. If you want to plan a sweet and a quite vacation for few days so you must go by this place.
• Monsoon month  (June- August mid): We’ll suggest you to avoid going during monsoon season in mountain regions as there is a possibility of land slides and a heavy risk to your life.
• In winter (Every month of winter):Don’t worry you ‘ll go their during winter season also , winters will be chilly but it may offer you the chance to indulge in the winter sports(snow boarding at Jalori pass which lies near Banjar).
